A conceptual sub-brand reusable packaging for Bewilder for their new product - lingzhi fungarium. It aims to spread the beauty and story of this ancient medicinal fungi to the modern masses while also targets the female demographic as a medicine that aids in self care and empowerment.

Moodboard and Inspiration

With central themes of self care, empowerment and healing with positivity to the demographic of female optimistic providers that are age 25 to 40 plus, visuals inspired by the moodboard beside focuses more on gradients with more warmer colours and geometric and abstract shapes that complement with the more decorative, seri typefaces used and emblem of the logo.

I was inspired how in ancient times before cultivation of lingzhi was a common practice, Chinese medicinal practitioners in order to collect lingzhi is like striking gold. Wild lingzhi grow on the high mountains on trees like maple that must be above 100 years old.
Thus, showing if the packaging is shaped like a log and open to reveal the fungarium with the lingzhi will add an element of surprise while giving a taste of lingzhi's rich history.
The shape is hexagonal to allow for easier production and transportation. However, we emulate the feel and texture of the wood by having special paper that has the feel.
