This poster is created for Hear Us Out, an international initiative to bring unheard voices of society to life. 2024's theming was elderly and through interviewing my neighbour, she gave this sagely advice shown on the poster. Conceptualising this idea of always progressing upwards, I hope it translates the strong will and determination found within this message by my neighbour.
The posters will be exhibited in the countries that participated in initiative: New Zealand, Singapore, England, Indonesia, and Ecuador.

学到老。
“As you grow older, one should
continue learning.”
This was a quote that my 80 year old neighbour have bring up when interviewing her on what she thinks the people of our society should listen to.
Learning has always been seen as stepping blocks to excellence and better futures. Considering the Chinese characters can be dissected down to geometric strokes, it mimics building blocks.
